Meet Michelle, Your New YEO Membership Associate!

We are so excited to announce our new Membership Associate for the YEO Network, Michelle Landry!

Michelle comes to us from Dallas, TX, where she most recently managed a Dallas city council race. Michelle has been an avid fighter for progressive values for some time. As a student, Michelle coordinated voter registration drives, hosted events on-campus to promote civic engagement, organized rallies against the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, and partnered with progressive organizations across Dallas to advance a vision for a more equitable Texas. Michelle went on to become a fellow for a campaign for Congress, driven to bring new leadership and a new progressive voice to her home-district. Michelle then worked as a voting rights intern for the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law to assist with voter protection across the country. She then became a field organizer in Wisconsin before returning to Dallas to finish her degree.

She'll be your point of contact for membership inquiries and recruitment. If you have any ideas on YEOs to nominate, let her know! If you have thoughts on how to better support YEOs, let her know! If you have ideas about skills sessions to implement, let her know! If you need someone to talk about Phase 4 of the Marvel Universe with, let her know! She's excited to take this time to really expand on the personalized, every day support that we can give our members.

Speaking of more personalized support, we are planning on revamping our regional directors program! Directors will take on a leadership role within the Network, serving as ambassadors to the YEO Network staff, ensuring the YEO Network remains of, by, and for the elected officials we serve. If this sounds interesting to you…let her know (I think you get the picture).

Michelle is excited to use her organizing skills in a way that satisfies her need to promote racial, economic, and social justice by finding and supporting young, progressive elected officials like you across the country.
