Taif Jany is the founder and CEO of Zigura, a refugee-owned consulting firm focused on
addressing today’s most complex immigration challenges. Born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq,
Taif’s work is deeply shaped by his lived experience as a war survivor and former refugee. Most
recently, he was the Director of Policy and Practice at Refugee Council USA, a coalition of more
than 40 organizations working together to strengthen U.S. refugee resettlement and asylum
services. Taif is proud to join the YEO Network’s 20th National Convening, where he previously
served as Policy Coordinator.
