Raaheela Ahmed, a former elected member of the Prince George’s County (Maryland) Board of Education, is a national nonprofit executive and grassroots community advocate. She works as national legislative and organizing director at 100% Democracy: An Initiative for Universal Voting, leading efforts to advance universal voting in localities, states, and nationally.
Ahmed previously worked at the Fair Elections Center’s Campus Vote Project, institutionalizing voting and civic engagement at 300+ college campuses nationwide. She also worked at New American Leaders, where she cultivated a national network of 500+ first- and second-generation immigrant elected officials.
As a young, first-generation American Muslim woman of Indian and Pakistani descent, Ahmed understands and passionately strives for equity and justice for marginalized people and communities. She has been featured by multiple media outlets for her work.
