Kristen Crowell, executive director of Fair Share America, comes to this role with over twenty-five years of experience in the progressive movement. Most recently she was the founding executive director of the State Revenue Alliance where she led a team to support state campaign infrastructure across over thirty states and with over 280 state based partners. Crowell was the general consultant that won the Massachusetts Millionaire’s Tax on the November 2022 ballot, resulting in over $2B annually in new investments. She has worked as the state campaign director for CBPP, worked alongside the labor movement as executive director of United Working Families and We Are Wisconsin. Crowell has deep expertise in developing legislative, electoral, and ballot campaign strategies, all originating from the perspective of a state based leader. Before Kristen began her organizing career, she was a single mom and leader who organized for school funding reform. Her public and professional journey is a testament to building effective campaigns that center the everyday people who drive our economy and our democracy.
