Ariel Amaru (She/Her) is the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) State Policy Manager on the Strategy and Policy team, where she primarily works on the center’s State Gender Policy Collective. The Collective is a community and resource hub to support state policymakers and advocates working to advance gender justice across states. Previously, she served as the program lead for corporate governance and compliance at the Access to Advanced Health Institute, a research non-profit focused on making vaccine development more equitable and accessible. Prior to that, Ariel was an associate at Crowell & Moring in the health care practice group, where her pro bono practice was centered on women seeking asylum for gender-based violence. Ariel received her JD from the University of Colorado and her BA from George Washington University.
