Ankit Jain was elected D.C.’s U.S. Senator in 2024. He advocates before the U.S. Senate to advance D.C. statehood and protect D.C. Home Rule. Since getting elected, he has been hard at work protecting D.C.’s rights from attack by the federal government. Jain is a resident of Ward 2. He is a voting rights attorney who currently works as an independent legal contractor for the organization FairVote, advocating for everyone to have the right to cast a meaningful vote through ranked choice voting.
