About National Convening
The annual YEO Network National Convening provides YEOs with an opportunity to grow as public servants through workshops and trainings designed specifically for young leaders in their positions. This unique conference serves to nurture and support YEOs as innovative thinkers, young leaders, and elected officials.
Members of the YEO Network spend three days sharing policy ideas, connecting with strategic partners, gaining valuable skills and leadership training, and networking with the most innovative young leaders in our country.
Celebrating 15 Years of Building
The Progressive Pipeline
Our 2020 Convening will be both a gathering for our nation's most dynamic progressive leaders to learn, develop, and network and a celebration of the groundbreaking work the YEO Network and its members have led since 2005 to build a pipeline of progressive leadership and make our nation freer and fairer for all of us.
We will look back at our tremendous progress and work together to chart a course for our even brighter future.
Convening in Downtown Atlanta
Atlanta, the State of Georgia, and the Deep South are in so many ways on the front lines of the progressive movement. As our fastest growing region, it is the perfect and essential backdrop for our 15th Annual Convening.
Our 2020 Convening activities will be held in and around our host hotel, the W Downtown, "an urban oasis that captures the vital energy of the city" and a beautiful venue for such a cherished celebration . We'll be a short distance from Atlanta attractions like Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Georgia Aquarium and Centennial Olympic Park.
At Convening, we will celebrate those YEO's listed on our first ever 35 Under 35 list!
The Young Elected Officials Network 35 Under 35 List (#YEO35U) recognizes passionate and impactful young elected leaders at all levels of government who have advanced progressive change, made meaningful impact on their communities, and contributed to the growth of the YEO Network and the progressive pipeline.

The Barbara Jordan Leadership Award will be given to a young elected official who has shown dedication and support to the YEO Network and has a distinguished record of public service to their community and the progressive movement at large.
