YEO Campaign Managers Roundtable - Hoboken, NJ

In order to gather the strategies, tools and methodologies used to elect young candidates to office, the YEO Network and the New World Foundation brought together fourteen campaign managers who have successfully managed the campaigns of young elected officials, in New Jersey on Sunday, December 11, 2006.
The Campaign Managers Roundtable began Sunday, December 10th with dinner at Carmine’s Restaurant in New York City. Managers had the opportunity to meet and mingle with each other and PFAW Foundation Staff.
Monday, December 11th the roundtable took place at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, hosted by our Hoboken delegation, YEOs Carmelo Garcia and Chris Campos. The full day was dedicated to a wide ranging discussion of political campaigns for young candidates, focusing on four major areas: mechanics, policy, fundraising, and communications. Participants shared how they got started, how they choose candidates, and their role in the larger progressive movement.
